On-site Assistance

Advisory services and assistance can be structured depending on your needs and the needs of your organization.  It can be developed to respond to a variety of individual issues.  Typical areas of concern include FEPA and FLSA overtime, and FEPA premium pay.  Other areas that can be addressed include incentives to aid in recruiting, retaining and relocating federal employees, as well as allowances and differentials that compensate federal employees for working in unusual, costly or difficult situations.

Advisory services and on-site assistance typically support an agency's short term need in areas such as:

  1. Responding to challenges filed in federal court
  2. Responding to grievances filed by employee organizations
  3. Reviewing existing or planned positions to assist in properly identifying those that are exempt from and those that are not exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act
  4. Planning for and reducing the risk of unexpected premium pay costs by assisting managers and human resource specialist in the assignment of work in a manner to assure proper compensation under existing law while minimizing expenditure of scarce financial resources
  5. Assisting in the development of policy guidance or agency training materials to
provide information on new compensation programs or refreshers to keep managers,
human resource specialists and employees informed about the latest developments.
